Founder & CEO/Head of Theatrical Division
Eric Pirooz began his journey in the Entertainment Industry with a BA in Theatre Studies—concentrating in Acting & Directing—from The University of Texas at Austin. Energized by his passion for the arts, he left Texas for Hollywood immediately after graduation, determined to make his mark in the Entertainment Industry. He experienced early success by signing commercially with Hugh Leon at Coast to Coast and landing his first national spot—a Sprint commercial—alongside multiple student films, indie projects, and web series. In 2010, Eric briefly ventured to New York City in search of new opportunities but quickly discovered that his heart lay in Los Angeles. On his return journey, a series of unexpected yet fortuitous events led him to reevaluate his career path. He realized that while his early endeavors had been an important chapter, his true calling was on the business side of the Entertainment Industry. Eric's transition into management began with internships at Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management and Sovereign Talent Agency, where he balanced full-time work in the restaurant industry while learning the inner workings of talent representation. His determination and work ethic earned him a position in the mailroom at Innovative Artists, and within 60 days he was promoted to work directly under the Senior VP and head of the VO Department. During this period, Eric discovered his strength in understanding and connecting with creative talent on a deeply personal level—having navigated the industry's challenges himself, he knew what it took to support and empower those he represented. Through valuable industry relationships—such as his introduction to Michael Colucci at WOS Group Entertainment—Eric honed his skills in management and client placement, successfully guiding talent from regional theater to recurring roles on major network television. His collaboration with industry peers and natural leadership abilities culminated in his decision to launch NOVA Talent Group in January 2018. As Founder and CEO, Eric has provided visionary leadership that has seen NOVA thrive, even in the face of unprecedented challenges like the global pandemic and the Industry wide strike of 2023. Despite these significant setbacks—such as the simultaneous firing of several clients, a complete shutdown of theater production, and the industry strike—Eric's resilience and adaptive strategy ensured that the company's voiceover division sustained NOVA until other sectors could rebound. Today, under his guidance, NOVA Talent Group is stronger than ever and poised to continue its growth regardless of the challenges ahead. Based in Los Angeles, Eric enjoys balancing his dynamic career with a personal life enriched by his two Scottish Fold cats, Apollo and Artemis—a playful nod to his admiration for NASA and the pioneering spirit of the upcoming lunar program. With a career marked by adaptability, strategic vision, and an authentic connection to the talent he supports, Eric Pirooz stands out as a true leader in the Entertainment Industry, dedicated to driving growth, fostering creativity, and navigating the ever-changing landscape of this dynamic field.
